Niclas Borinder is awarded for best Master thesis in 2015

2015-06-08

It is my pleasure to announce that the Award of Excellence for the spring 2015 promotion of the M.Sc. Earth Science Programme students was awarded to Niclas Borinder for his thesis entitled ''Postcranial anatomy of Tanius sinensis Wiman, 1929 (Dinosauria; Hadrosauroidea)''. Niclas received his Award last night during a celebration dinner for the promotion, and the accompanying prize will soon follow.

Several other students stood out as contenders for the prize in view of the excellence of they work. These contenders were Sara Doverfelt and Jonathan Udén (hydrology/hydrogeology) and Sorin Ignea (geology). Niclas was ultimately selected in recognition of the exceptional enthusiasm and dedication to his work, the high scientific quality of the thesis itself, and the impressive mastery of his research topic and the self-confidence (and humour!) he displayed at his thesis presentation.

Congratulations Niclas, and all the best for your future career !
